The Challenge
To reach its goal in achieving professionalism in project management, the client required its Project Managers to become PMI certified Project Management Professionals (PMP®) by passing the PMP® exam. This is no small undertaking, even for experienced Project Managers, as it requires learning and understanding the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) in intimate detail, including all of its processes, techniques and terminology.
The client engaged EQuest Consulting to deliver tailored training courses in Sydney, Perth and Singapore, to prepare their Project Managers to sit the exam. The participants were from several Asia Pacific countries including Australia and the courses needed to be prepared and delivered in a tight timeframe for exams that had already been scheduled.

How EQuest Consulting Met the Challenge
EQuest Consulting delivered four training courses during one month in Sydney, Perth and Singapore, meeting our client’s tight time frames. We tailored our PMI accredited Registered Education Provider course material to the overall knowledge level of the participants. The EQuest Consulting instructor also served as PMI Sydney Chapter’s Certification Director and so was able to give the participants excellent insights into preparation methods and exam techniques.
The course covered all elements of the PMBOK, with particular focus on areas that are not covered in sufficient detail in the PMBOK guide for the exam. An interactive approach facilitated fast learning and helped participants to identify areas in which they required further study in order to pass, including the setting and reviewing of many sample questions similar to those used in the actual exam. |

The Benefits
All of the Project Managers that attended the courses passed the PMP exam. The client’s feedback was that the courses were “invaluable” and enabled the 100% pass rate to be achieved.
