The Challenge
This large multinational company consisted of different organisations around the world selling into regional markets. Several of the regions had developed project management methodologies locally. EQuest Consulting were asked to assess these methodologies and consolidate them into a single source that would be applicable worldwide to all markets and for all to access.

How EQuest Consulting Met the Challenge
The first part of the challenge was to become familiar with the different project management practices in each locality and to understand why they were developed as they were. This required absorbing and understanding a vast amount of information, involving many phone conferences with the different parties around the world.
Next we consolidated the various practices into a form that could be used by any of the organisations. This required assessing the existing practices, selecting the most appropriate that were applicable to all markets and removing duplications.
The consolidated methods and tools had to be made accessible from a single source so they could be shared with markets around the world. EQuest Consulting designed and managed the creation of a web portal to provide access to this information.
Finally, we made recommendations for the future development of the methodology, using the consolidated method as a basis for going forward.
