“We provide
individual attention
from experienced practitioners” |
Mentoring is a highly effective method of changing the way people work. It can be used to fulfil a number of requirements, from introducing new standards or processes, to rolling out new tools, to improving capability by coaching people in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
|
Mentoring is very productive because it allows participants to interact one-on-one with an experienced practitioner, who is able to answer individual questions and concerns on the subject matter and relate the material to each person’s own work. It is therefore very practical, enabling standards, tools and processes to be accepted and consistently adopted.
Our approach to mentoring is to establish clear objectives, determine the subject matter to be covered and structure and timetable regular mentoring sessions so they are fit for purpose and minimise impacts on staff workload. Participants are fully briefed on how the mentoring will be conducted before sessions are carried out by our experienced, qualified mentors. |
|
Our mentors encourage participants to think of them as their professional development coaches, thereby building trust and becoming a useful source of advice. Between regular mentoring sessions our mentors are always available to take calls or emails to answer queries. After the sessions are completed, they follow up with each participant to ensure that the subject matter has been understood and is being incorporated into their everyday work. This approach ensures that our mentors really do make a difference.
